Sam: In addition to that said by MikeB, have you as yet verified that the problem you are suffering from is also being experienced by others in your area? because if its caused by some oddball problem connected with the transmitter then it should also be affecting other viewers receiving ITV on Mux C23 (490Mhz) from the Wrekin transmitter.

The other point being, when you say that the signal strength and quality is 100%, then does this still apply where the "quality" is concerned when the picture freezes? In other words, if you leave the TV sitting on the signal check screen and observe it over 5 to 10 minutes or so, is the "quality" seen to dive downwards now and again?

Barlows tend to fit log-periodic aerials which are genuinely wide-band with no drop-off zones and which don't get knocked about by high winds. I think there may be one multiplex on Wrekin which is less powerful then the rest as I sometimes get the odd pixellation and freezing problem when viewing channels which use it (West Wirral coast, where the alternative is Welsh!)

My freeview signal is frequently showing as "lost" or "poor" "no signal". I constantly retune my TV but the signal is lost again & again. It is most frustrating. The aerial is on the roof and points towards the Wrekin. I live in Alveley south of Bridgnorth. My postcode is WV15 6LS

Ariel on the roof, and lost all com6 programs since Christmas rescan. Picked then up in previous scan on 17th dec. have rescan the box several times. In a second box upstairs the channels still show in peg but no rescan and there is no signal on all com 6 channels.

Are there any plans for the Wrekin tansmitter to broadcast what we currently receive with weak signal and frequent breakup from Sutton Coldfield on C23. We use The Wrekin with a loft aerial and amplifier feeding three TV's. We have a forest of high trees and higher ground between us and Sutton Coldfield so its signal to poor, but we have direct line to the Wrekin.

Robert Evans: I don't understand the question. C23 is PSB2 multiplex from The Wrekin and carries ITV Central (West), as does Sutton Coldfield.

If you are using The Wrekin then try using Sutton Coldfield instead. Its mast was made taller for switchover so it might be a better bet than before.
