Carol:
If you are 26 km away from the transmitter it is highly unlikely that any indoor aerial will give you satisfactory reception, not even those fitted with an amplifier. There are other factors to consider as well, not just distance, such as hills and taller building between you and the transmitter. Because of that, for contributors here to be able to help more we would really need a post code so we can examine the signal path to your home.

It is definitely whatever work they are doing on the transmitter. As I am 25miles from it and houses in the wayI need a strong signal.Tonight four of the HD channels reappeared after three weeks, managed to watch Newsnight no problem. The Ch35 mux hasn't returned so don't have those channels.

What on earth has happened to the FM signals for the BBC radio channels in Glasgow area? One minute you are listening to Radio 2 then it cuts out & your'e listening to fresh air...Please give an explanation for this & sort it out. The license fee is expensive enough without having our service's cut. Thank you.

According to the BBC's web page at http://www.bbc.co.uk/rece…m63, there's maintenance work on the FM transmitter at Black Hill. This was scheduled for Sept 11th and 12th and is weather dependent. I suppose this is still on-going. It's odd that BBC Shortbread is broadcasting fine on FM in the central belt while Radio 1-4 are dead.

Continuing problems in the Glasgow area for Radio 1& 2. This has been an issue for a week now. Generally, all is well until 10am then there is nothing until 2pm. Please advise when this will be resolved as it is extremely frustrating.

The repeated interruptions to BBC FM broadcasts over the past few days are totally unacceptable, especially as they happen without either warning, or subsequent apology. Advance Information downtime and on its likely duration should be posted on a readily accessible and well-advertised website.
