coach: Dont assume that that channels are all that weak for you - check actual signal strength. It might be too high, hence the problem.

MikeB: Thanks. All appears ok since "possible reduced power" has been taken off Sandy Heath status.

We have once again problems with Multiplex CH.52, picture breakup etc. We have always had excellent reception from Sandy Heath TX for the past 12 years. I cured it the other day by doing the reset and all was well but today SKY news etc is terrible.

MikeB: We have 3 other PVR's that get CH.52 Mux. Now the one which is having problems cannot even get CH.51 or CH.52 MUX. I am just wondering if one of the tuners might be faulty, although having said that I was able to reset and retune a couple of days ago and was able to retune to both those MUX's.

John: Check your aerial lead - if they are a bit dodgy, then the mux might not being picked up. At least its an easy check -just swap out the lead. Or just pop it into the socket where the other ones are - might be the feed.
My mystery at the moment is that at least one mux on my HD box is pretty poor, but yet the TV which is looped through the box has a perfect signal strength - can't understand that one at all.

MikeB: Checked out the PVR in another room and had no trouble picking up Mux's CH.51 and CH. 52. All my aerial points were built into the house, but I suspect just this one in the main bedroom is faulty. I am getting a weak signal and Bit Rate error of 2000 just on those two and all the other Mux's are fine.

My TV, Sony Bravia 32" keeps skipping chs 16 (wifes!) and 37 on many scans over several days.
I have done the no signal scan. I would like to try a manual scan but cannot find the channel numbers?
My two Freeview recorders are fine.
Regards, Dave.

dave macready: If you are referring to 16 QVC and Quest 37, both are broadcast by Sandy Heath's COM4 Mux on C51/ 714 Mhz.
