ourselves and our neighbours have been experiencing pixilation of our tv's for a number of weeks, there has been periods of days within this timeframe where the signal has been good.
a signal meter shows the signal quality varying from 100% to 0% . the signal level remains at 100%. There has been no issues over the past 7 years.

Wendy: There is currently engineering work listed for Durris, unfortunately no completion date is given. Retuning was a bad idea as you may have deleted the tuning data for some or all of your channels which were already correctly tuned.

Poor reception continues for the forth day!
Worse via my BT freeview box.. Smart TV only signal levels improve but still disappear occasionally.
Slightly better today but still annoying to say the least.
NOT the only person affected either as my daughter who lives the other side of Ellon from me has similar issues.

Bill Tarling: The transmitter engineering post directly above yours indicates that there is planned engineering work taking place at Durris this week. Unfortunately no completion date is given.

Bill Tarling:
You aren't predicted to get the best of reception for all multiplexes from Durris and the planned Engineering won't help when there's reduced power or operation from the Reserve Antenna (lower on the mast).
Which TV channels (or even the multiplex's UHF channels) are you having particular problems with?
Does your set give %Quality figures as well as Signal Strength figures for each multiplex's UHF channel?

Have digital aeriel in loft in Portlethen and have carried out all above checks
Had regular TV issues so replaced TV.
Situation now worse on new OLED TV.
Replaced aerial cable to 16way aerial amplifier but EVERY EVENING between 9pm and midnight approx the signal deteriorates till only blue screen for all terrestrials channels until you get to Thats TV (Aberdeen) where picture is perfect!!
Swopped out aerial cables on 16way amplifier but issue remains same each evening for months now....
Since replaced TV AGAIN and still issue happens nearly every evening.
Somtimes issue happens in morning too?
Spoke with neighbours and they too have issues in the evening if watching terrestrial TV and also spoke with friends in Cove who face similar issue !!!!
Please please correct problem!

Duncan Riddell:
Hello Duncan. FYI This is an independent technical help-site but just to clarify, there are currently no reported faults for Durris and the transmitter isn't currently listed for Planned Engineering.
Regrettably, it's not a good idea to replace a TV just because you have reception problems, without getting your aerial installation thoroughly checked out by a professional CAI approved installer who will have professional signal strength meters and spectrum analysers. Especially an installation that has an amp/splitter which can introduce all sorts of issues in the wrong conditions more so if you have no filters and an older wideband aerial rather than a more recent Group K and can therefore readily receive interfering signals from a new/upgraded phone mast now using the 700MHz band.
Your locale should not have any reception problems from Durris which should be excellent.
The fact that your neighbours are also having problems and that this has been going on for months suggests that you are all suffering from interference problems.
Your friends in Cove are likely to have a very similar problem.
You will likely find that you all should have received a postcard from Restore TV.
You can check by putting your postcodes in this website here -
https://restoretv.uk/postcards-not-sure/
Get in touch with Restore TV and request a FREE Filter. All filters should always be fitted between the aerial and ANY amplification. (As an aside, external masthead amps need a waterproof filter fitted on the mast which Restore TV would fit for free in such cases).
