Ian: The BBC have recently announced that every BBC region in England will be available in HD by the end of 2022. As BBC One HD and ITV HD are broadcast on the same multiplex (PSB3 which is operated by the BBC) it is very likely that you will get the correct version of ITV HD for your region at the same time. ITV have already launched HD versions of all their regions (apart from Border Scotland and Channel Islands) on satellite and cable so ITV should already have most of the infrastructure in place ready to launch those regions in HD on Freeview once the BBC are ready.

Freeview has recently changed their channel map again. I notice when looking at the UKFreeTV webpage for that transmitter that it has yet to be updated Indeed some of the information is VERY old - even the frequencies of PSB3 and LW multiplexes are incorrect. Some of the pages on the website are dated but many are not. It would be very helpful if each page could show an "updated on" date.

As has been posted many times around UKFreeTV, unfortunately the website owner has not had the time to make all the updates resulting from the 700MHz Clearance programme, I can't see any updates being made in a hurry.

I'm in a static at Skirlington caravan site on the east coast and i'm having terrible problems with the signal. My aerial guy has told me since bilsdale has moved to channel 21 hd and channel 24 itv etc. its only one channel away from belmonts which used to be fine. Does anyone know when this change happened? I don't recall any issues last year, and i'm sure bbc used to be on a different channel mux . Strangely I get a better signal if i put my amplifier to full and turn the aerial away from belmont. I'm all lost and the aerial guy just tells me its co channel interference as i'm on the edge of 2 transmitter areas, any suggestions?

I'm afraid a lot of what your aerial "guy" is saying, is coming from his rear end!
The main changes at Bilsdale were completed in November 2019 with the exception of the BBCA/PSB1 and BBCB HD/PSB2 swapping their UHF channels in March 2020, in other words, all the channels being used were the same as in November 2019.
Even before that last main change in 2019, Bilsdale was already using adjacent channels to those used by Belmont, namely C26, C29, & C23 for PSBs1-3. Belmont's PSB channels always have been C22,C25, & C28. Changes at Belmont have only affected the COM & Local multiplexes, the last of which was in March 2020. None of those have been or are now, adjacent channel.
So in effect, nothing has changed since then.
Co-channel interference is when transmissions are on the Same channel, Not Adjacent channel.
In this digital age, adjacent channels do not present a problem to modern receivers. There are a number of transmitters that use some adjacent channels for their own multiplexes! Adjacent channels could be, and sometimes were an issue in the old analogue days.
I assume you are talking about Skirlington Leisure Park about half way between Bridlington and Hornsea whose postcode is YO25 8SY. You are well within the coverage area for Belmont and are predicted to get very good reception, whereas not so for Bilsdale - it could be very variable - that's with an aerial pointing at it!
Belmont is almost due S of your location (bearing 176 degrees). Bilsdale however is at bearing 304 degrees, that's slightly W of NW which could possibly be receivable off a rear reception side-lobe of your aerial especially if it's not very directional and particularly if you have lots of unneeded gain from an amplifier.
My suspicion is you may have two issues. One, too much gain from your amplifier (this can also overload your receiver front end and cause pixellation etc.) and two, possible poor rear side-lobe rejection by your aerial.
Most aerials have a reasonable front beam-width, so you can point the aerial off-line a bit without major detriment to the wanted signal, but be in a situation where a rear side-lobe is no longer pointing at any unwanted signals.
The correct UHF channels for Belmont are listed in my post on the 19th March 2021 further up the page (p83).
Check in your TV's tuning section that they are the ones you are tuned to, and also look for the Signal Strength AND Quality (or Error) figures for each multiplex channel. If the Quality is not 100% but the signal is high, turn down the amplifier gain a bit and see what the effect is. Overload can cause the Strength and Quality figures to appear to reduce, even though there is more signal.
Likewise if need be, try turning the aerial maybe slightly W of S, rather than E, as this may reduce any rear side-lobe reception, which if strong enough could cause an addition to an overload problem.
If you are still having problems, knowing what make and model this aerial is, and what is the gain range of the amplifier is could be helpful in giving further advise.
Hopefully it will be a simple bit of adjustment, but a certain amount of experimenting may be needed.

I have just purchased an LG Fully HD Television. Brand new. I am unable to access channels 101-114 (i.e. the HD ones). Channels 101-105 inclusive are showing on the menu but when I try and access them all I get is a heavily pixelated image. I am located at postcode LN6 8NX and am served by the Belmont transmitter. I live in a bungaow. The aerial is located in the usual place (chimney height). I have tried a signal booster (doesn't work). I have tried retuning multiple times (doesn't work). I have tried restoring to Factory settings (doesn't work). The areial is split three times in the bungalow. I'm wondering if this is the issue (reduced aerial efficiency). I have, so far, not tried manual retuning on channels 101-105. Any help appreciated.

Were you using any other sets before buying this LG? If so, I'm getting the impression from your post that they did not have HD/T2 tuners? Do you get any pixellation issue at all with the SD channels and how many are you getting, it should be around 90 excluding radio and HD? Roughly how old is the aerial installation?
Splitting the signal will reduce it and any aerial amplification must be between the aerial and any splitter.
It will be no good putting an amplifier after the splitter if the signal has been effectively lost - you can't amplify one that isn't there! Have a look in the Tuning section for signal strength and advise what the Signal strength and Quality is for each of the multiplexes that you are receiving.
The UHF channels for Belmont in the order BBCA/PSB1, D3&4/PSB2, BBCB HD/PSB3, SDN/COM4, ArqA/COM5, ArqB/COM6, COM7; Local; are as follows -
C22, C25, C28; C30, C23, C26; C55; C32. You ought to be getting the first six of those at least, the predictor shows you should be getting good reception of them all except the Local multiplex.

Great! tv...freeview channel 49 is the only channel I receive which is now pixelated. I have re auto-tuned as is recommended..but the annoying pixelation remains.It has been for 3 days now. I presumed it might be owing to storm damage..but it is the only pixelated one. ALL the other freeview channels I receive are fine.
What's wrong with channel 49??

Channel 49 in the EPG is carried on Local multiplexes (as are some of the other Great! channels).
FYI see Channel listings for Industry Professionals | Freeview for which channels are carried on which multiplex. I would have thought you'd have similar problems with the other channels on the Local multiplex.
(It not advised to retune if you are correctly tuned, if you have poor signals at the time it can end up clearing the correct tuning).
(See my post further up page 84 for the correct UHF channels you should be tuned to for Belmont).
Reception of Local multiplexes may not be as good as others, apart from lower power and limited number of main transmitters, they tend to be beamed towards the large centres of urban population for which they were set up.
So it'll depend on location as to how good reception may be (we'd need a full postcode to advise on that).
