LD: The link seems to be broken. Have you tried a manual tune for the relevant multiplexes? Also, is there a manual setting to choose 8k mode?

I had no problems tuning in my freeview box and my grandmothers upstairs & downstairs freeview boxes.
But my sisters freeview box in her bedroom was a different matter, for a while now the box has been picking up 800 numbers (very old hardware by freeview standards) but when she tried to scan she lost all the BBC channels.
When I eventually got to it I had to do "auto scan - replace all services", then to pick up the rest of the channels "auto scan - add more services". I've been trying to get her a new freeview box for a while now but she's not having any of it. Hell, her "channel ^" button doesn't even work anymore...
#facepalm
She's stubborn, I think I'm going to try and get her a little LCD tv, sneak it in and sneak the CRT out lol

David SH: Would you not be better avoiding autoscan and scanning only the multiplexes you are actually looking for? The numbers are helpfully provided in this site. You would need to clear out all the existing stuff first, usually by autoscan with the aerial unplugged.

The link still throws up an error message BTW. It seems suspicious that it should end in = as I expect it would need to equal something.
However, that aside, my box is different so my comments may be inapplicable. Mine in manual mode but not automatic mode allows you to select 2k and change it to 8k.

Just wanted to say after my comments on 21/06, above, that the problems I had appear to have resolved after the second switchover on 22/06. Cheers.

Adam: Mad question I know but I assume you used the new channel numbers for the manual tune and not the old ones?
