I have lost all digital channels again tonight, as have my neighbours. My postcode is G3 7ER. Anyone else in my area the same? Happened on wednesday night too, for an hour.

Lesley Crooks: Well, if you and the neighbours you're referring to are using a communal aerial system then that would seem to point firmly at it. Thus, you need to raise the issue with your landlord, or whatever party maintains the aerial system.

It is a little odd that it keeps going on and off. This could be indicative of the power to the system being turned on and off, maybe by accident.

There has been a reception problem over the past week. I have been advised that there is an aerial newly installed in the Newbattle area blocking the Blackhill signal all over the area - is this correct?

S Brown: The Newbattle Freeview light relay transmitter (the one referred to?) will have no effect whatsoever with your Freeview reception, that is unless whoever has provided you with the information has been referring to a 4G phone mast?

However, on the subject of reception, the Craigkelly (Fife) transmitter is the station indicated as the one covering your area rather than that mentioned of Blackhill, this latter station indicated with a status of poor as far as signal reliability is concerned.

As no engineering work is being carried out at any of the aforementioned stations, its advisable to make one or two local enquiries to ascertain if anyone else in the area is suffering from similar problems with reception, the purpose of being to eliminate the possibility of your aerial system being responsible for the problem.

By the way, Craigkelly transmits on the following multiplex channels.

27 - 24 - 21 - 42 - 45 - 39 / COM7 33 / COM8 34 / L-EDN (local) 30.

Blackhill

My postcode is G67 4SE.
Recently my reception on Mux channel 41 has been impossible to watch due to low signal strength/interference. At present time of 1225 16MAY2015 the picture and sound are perfect. I am watching my channel10 (ITV3) and the system indicates full signal strength. When the picture and sound breakup on the channels on this MUX I can tune to STV Glasgow and the picture and sound are perfect. I understand from your website that this is from a low power transmitter, so I don't think the problem relates to my aerial. My aerial is roof top mounted and was installed by a professional company.
Please let me know what you think is going wrong.

Hi. I'm in postcode ML5 and I've noticed significant issues with am radio frequency interference across all my devices, including car radio (used in ml5 and ml6 areas). Specifically, talk sport, 5live and BBC Scotland.

Do you know if there are understood issues?

Alexei Romanov: You havn't given your full postcode, so I dont know your location in relation to the transmitter. However, a decent bet is that your aerial has a problem, perhaps a frayed cable, etc. Check your signal strength (obviously make sure your tuned to the transmitter your meant to be) - and then check your system. It might be something as simple as a loose or broken aerial lead from the back of the set.
