Is Crystal Palace C31 off the air?
I lost my HD signal last night around 11pm, I live in Rotherhithe, SE16.
Manual search does not show signal received on that channel.

I have lost channel 4 on freeview and many of the associated channels (more 4, e4 ...). Film 4 and e4+1 are fine. All channels worked well up to Thursday/Friday 3/4 March. I am in Shoreditch EC2. I notice the crystal palace transmitter has low power on some frequencies. Has there been a recent change?

patrick: No, the transmitter has been in this state since 2003. Please see Single frequency interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

Bought a new TV with Freeview HD and BBC One HD, ITV1 HD, Channel 4 HD, and BBC HD all show up in Freeview EPG however when i click on one i get no signal.
live in a building with a number of other flat and i believe we all take the signal from a communal aerial which i guess points at the crystal palace transmitter given i live in N1.
any views on this? thx.

Have tried to retune our DTV to get Five USA and Five Star by erasing all current channels and reinstalling. However during the reinstallation process, it just skips over channels 30 and 31 but reinstalls everything else. How can I get it to register Ch 30 and 31?

ian hayes: all aerials are HD compatible. The problem is that it is indoors. Indoor aerials are not very good, generally, and you lose a lot of signal because there isn't a clear line of sight to the transmitter, through both internal and external walls and neighbouring buildings.
Right now, the HD signals are broadcast at half the power of the other multiplexes - they need about the same power as multiplex 2 (e.g. ITV1) and A (e.g. ITV3) to work reliably.
You really need a roof aerial for reliable reception. If you did have one, you'd be expected to get reliable HD service now, and after switchover next year.
