I have noticed a couple of incidents like this (sound stuttering) but only very briefly and at various times. I put it down to the pre-warned 'Liable to interruption' notice from the transmitter.

I tried everything to get my Freeveiw right. Adjusted the Arial connection, checked for any electrical faults, in the end I took my Digital Recorder back to Asda convinced the Box was faulty. I bought an upgraded version and came home and set it up, and ..... all the same problems. My point is, do not replace your Digital Hi Fi until abselutely necessary, it is the Network, not the recievers that is faulty at the moment.

Freeview was ok last year most of year
Have TV with built in freeview box
Then when atmospherics in the winter kicked in warm temperatures etc noticed pixellating LOS etc
Receive from Crystal Palace, do not know if it will improve after switch-over may look at Antenna and cabling on the roof but currently service is better on analogue.
Currently Analogue channels ok

John: Anyone experiencing problems with their Freeview reception can get advice by just by entering their post code in the box at the top right hand side of every page and posting a question (rather than a statement) and someone will check the reception predictions for the location as well as any other factors that might apply, advising accordingly.

why does my humax pvr and the free view digibox in the next room both freeze each wednesday?the pvr freezes at every use on wednesdays even after trying the usual methods of defreezing. the digibox only needs resetting once.

P Benatmane: Basically to get an idea of whats happening carry out a signal strength / quality check on the Humax PVR whilst everything is working normally, making a note of the indications seen, then assuming that you mean that the picture is freezing(?) carry out the same check noting what changes have taken place.
It would also have been of assistance to anyone offering advice if you had mentioned your location, (pref: post code) that is as well as the model of Freeview box and also the Humax PVR you are referring to.

I have a JVC TV with a built in hard drive. It also freezes every Wednesday. It is fine when first switched on, but after a couple of minutes I am unable to change channels, access the programme guide, or my library of recordings. It started happenind mid-December. I am guessing there must be something in the programme guide for Wednesdays which causes the software to crash.
Postcode SE25 - Crystal Palace transmitter.
