I also use Mendip as my primary signal source and can also confirm that there are no transmitter problems - which in any event would be reported here if there had been any.
As has been said many times in the past, weather patterns can have significant effects on signal propagation, and that is not just whether it's raining or there is a high pressure system (although the latter frequently can have an effect) it is far more complicated than that. So if you have a "marginal" signal - which can be either because the signal is weak OR too strong, then changes in propagation can result in changes in signal strength and/or changes in co-channel interference which can result in intermittent loss of the wanted signal. It's also possible for mobile phone signals to cause problems especially if aerial amplifiers are in use.
The result of this with digital signals can be pixelation, intermittent sound and/or (intermittent) complete loss of signal.
Col: As you say "yet again", follow MikeB & MikeP's advice - there is no point in me repeating it.
You mention you all have to use boosters otherwise you don't receive anything BUT was that based on a need prior to full digital switchover in April 2010?
Where is the "amplifier" located? is it at the aerial or indoors somewhere?
Look at the Tuning section of your TV's programming and look at the strength and/or quality of the various signals with and without the amplifier. You mention dropping to 1 or 2 but don't say what it "normally" is, or what the scale on your particular TV is, the maximum may be 5 or 9 or 10 etc.
Also check that your are in fact correctly tuned to the Mendip UHF Channel Muxes (and not any of the Wenvoe ones).
Lastly, there is a Mobile Phone mast located quite close to you just off the line-of-sight, so when you have checked all the previous suggestions have a visit to at800 | 4G & Freeview | 4G interference | 4G Filters | 800 MHz , you might (note I said might) need a filter.

I've lost all the HD channels since Sunday about 5pm
I am in Corsham in Wiltshire so expect the mendit transmission tower to be relevant.
Please let me know if there is anything causing this.

The onl;y work listed for Mendip is related to the DAB services only. So you may have a poor connection in the cables between the aerial and your equipment.

I take it that after the big channel change in 2019 that all the tx channels will be HD to carry all the programmes we have now on the 9 tx channels we have.

Iain Davies: There has been no announcement yet of any date for any channels to switch to HD only output, or for any further multiplexes to switch to broadcasting in DVB-T2. Although the BBC have said they intend to switch to HD only broadcasting in the future.

My reception in Bath (BA1) has been terrible for the last year or so. Quality interrmittent, some channels I cant receive at all some days and hardly ever able to get HD channels. I'm high up, have had 2 ariel firms in, have new high gain ariel and have replaced ariel distribution amp but to little avail. Have a number of different makes of high end TVs and PVRs - Humax seems to be the worst! When engineers have measured the signal strength it seems to be good but they do warn that there's a fairly narrow acceptability band for digital and too strong a signal can be as bad as too little!

Charles Stuart: hi ive been on google for hours trying to find which analogue number i need for my magic eye.....it worked fine on C48 then all off a sudden the picture is snowy here are the things i have tryed
Been up and down the stairs trying the analogue different numbers
Retuning the tv with magic eye
Tryed manual tune and fine tune
Checked all wires
Bought a new magic eye
I have a outside aerial with a booster box all lights are on green
Turned everything off to let it reboot
Any help would be appreciated

Jane crabb: Unless you've changed the RF output channel on your Sky box, it will still be using C48, however as C48 is used by Mendip for the SDN multiplex (which is predicted to have variable reception at your location) it would be a good idea to change it (C38 is usually a good choice as it isn't used by any UK transmitter). You'll then need to retune the analogue channel on your second TV to match the one set on the Sky box. See the link below for a guide to change the RF output channel on your Sky box.

BS374JW. Channels 25, 31, 47 ARQB are pixillating and freezing, have followed rest procedure made no difference. Until recently these channels were working fine. 6530 303a shows Bit level 264+, and signal strength of 9.
