The bright green areas shown where the signal from this transmitter is strong, dark green areas are poorer signals. Those parts shown in yellow may have interference on the same frequency from other masts.

Dr B J Goldsmith: In your general area Crystal Palace and Reigate would appear as if they might be strong and roughly in the same direction. Check to see that your receivers are tuned (for BBC standard definition services) to Reigate on UHF channel 60 rather than Crystal Palace on 23. This information is usually given on the signal strength screen.

steve j: Both Reigate (@ 6 miles) and Crystal Palace (@ 18 miles) transmitters cover your area and so either of the two log type aerials seen on the links would be suffice for requirements no matter what station was used.

steve j: WRT the issue with your Logik TV, I would certainly discount the obvious such as being tuned to the wrong transmitter.
The links which jb38 has provided are to ATV's site which contains a wealth of information on this stuff.
Other suppliers and products are available. I came across this one selling the 30 element Vision log at a very competitive price:
VISION Log Periodic W/B (30 Element) > AerialSat.com
They also do the "Super" 40 element model which I believe is the model that ATV sell as their "Log 40".

I lost ITV & C4, in my bedroom. I have rescanned and TV will not find it. Maib TV in living room is fine. Both are plugged into wall aerial sockets.
The aerial is a communal one in the roof.

Oxted
We live on the south side of Oxted at RH8 0LG and our aerial points to the Heathfield transmitter from which we get 10/10 reception on all channels except Channel 49, which is measured at only 3/10 by our Freeview Box, and which gives intermittent breakups on Channel 4.
Why is this one channel of poor quality and what can I do about it?
I have looked at all four links suggested above and can find nothing that answers the question there.

David Curtis: Do you have a device such as a Sky box putting out an analogue signal on or near C49?
Has this always been the case?
I am wondering if you don't have line-of-sight. Crowborough is 15 miles away and sits on high ground which may be in the way.

David Curtis: Having made my earlier posting I have had a look at your local area. Clearly the trees might be the issue. I can see that there are quite a few bungalows and that aerials are on tall poles.
Perhaps, therefore, that the answer is to try moving the aerial, your objective being to find a spot where they are all good.

I live in Reigate and have no ITV, Ch4 & 5, ITV2 which I assume is attributable due to the high pressure weather we're experiencing at the moment unless I need to upgrade my antenna for a high gain one as mine is about 12 years old and might not be properly suited for digital reception

Raoul Schepen: Your aerial possibly being of not the best type is not the issue!
There is no such thing as a "digital" aerial and a high gain aerial isn't always the answer.
The high power transmissions of 2kW from Reigate Hill, which if my understanding is correct you are only a mile from, will be more than enough to make up for any potential shortfall in sensitivity of your aerial. In any case, the Public Service (PSB) channels, of which those you identify are one, are C57 which is that formerly used by ITV's analogue signal.
The point is that "if" your aerial a Group C/D one then it is most sensitive on the top third of the band of frequencies used for TV, with sensitivity sloping downwards through Group B (middle third) and Group A (bottom third). The PSB channels are on C/D channels, as were the four main analogue channels. The other channels (the COMs) are on Group A channels. The high power of these channels is what means that a C/D aerial will work at your location.
If anything I suggest that you investigate the possibility of there being too much signal:
