Dale chaplin: If you still have BBC TWO on analogue, then it's Ridge Hill, otherwise it's the Sutton Coldfield transmitter

DaveCheltenham: Sorry to be picky, but BBC three has never been carried on Multiplex B, always 1.

Brian - Of course you are right about BBC 3; I should have said CBeebies being on multiplex channel 63 not BBC 3.

Brian - You said "If you still have BBC TWO on analogue, then it's Ridge Hill, otherwise it's the Sutton Coldfield transmitter". BBC TWO Analogue (Channel 28) closed down on Ridge Hill early morning of the 6th April. Is not the channel number a better way to tell as BBC TWO Sutton Coldfield is on channel 40?
Regards

DaveCheltenham: The poster said there were two options, and only one is now broadcasting BBC TWO on analogue. No point overcomplicating matters, surely?

Dave - Brian thanks for your comments. I still have BBC2 analogue on channel 40 so Sutton Coldfield it is! I think I will wait till Ridge Hill is on full power then try shifting my ariel and retuning to see if I can improve my reception. If no better I shall stay on Sutton Coldfield and hope for an even better signal in September.

following the first switchover the receiver was retunes usung auto tune from menu. when finished, all channels present @80% field strength. Receiver switched to standby, on restarting, BBC1 & BBC2 missing, with 0% signal strength. second auto tune brought them back but switching off the on again the two channels are missing again. The receiver,(an HD ready set) was working fine untill the swithover, your comments please.
thanks.
