Daniel:
Hi Daniel.
It's an unfortunate fact that human beings can be quite horrible sometimes. Hard to accept at the moment perhaps, but life can be great, through both good times and bad. Speak to your parents about any bullying or mistreatment and if you get no response, get help from the police.
As in the US, I assure you that not everyone in the uk is the same.
Although the UK can't offer the good weather that Florida can and life will be very different here, the UK is a beautiful place, steeped in history and with some amazing landscape and people in it.
If you are here for a while, I would try and find a club where you can meet people with similar interests. Whatever you decide to do, don't let any other person make you feel bad about yourself. Hope all goes well.

We really need a post code (or one of a nearby shop) so that contributors can determine which transmitter your are using and whether there are any issues.

I have found that the Sandy Heath BBC one HD, BBC two HD, BBC 3 HD will sometimes drop signal at about 22:00 for a couple of hours.
I is not the fault of my TV as the signal is normally 84% signal strength and Quality 100%, but when it drops it all falls to 0% and bit error is up.

Ray Ellison: If you receive Freeview from the Waltham transmitter, carry out a signal test on the news channel and make sure that Mux Ch49 is displayed and "not" Mux Ch27 which is Sandy, Waltham offering a more reliable signal than Sandy due to the signal path from the latter being blocked at two separate points along the way.

Further advice dependant on findings.

Ray Ellison: Following on from JB38's excellent advice - I'm in the PE area, and if your using Waltham, make sure that you havn't picked up Belmont by mistake (they are on a similar bearing), or of course Sandy Heath.

Ray Ellison / MikeB : Yes, Belmont is indeed another possibility, and in that case Mux Ch22 would be indicated.

However, the angles of the signals received from the three stations arent really that close, Waltham @ 22miles / 295 degrees - Belmont @ 47 miles / 6 degrees, and with with Sandy @ 37 miles / 172 degrees.
