Just been on website down detector outage maps and nearly half of the country has lost all Freeview TV and radio signals. This is what happens when the government mess about with putting 5G network onto tv frequencies.

I think it's the weather - high pressure causing interference from other transmitters.

It doesn't make sense that 498 mhz is ok, here in Newton Longville, but 522 is very low signal, causing BBC 1 and 2 to be lost as I retuned!!!!! All other signals are up in the very good, 10/10. So how does weather affect only 522 mhz, but none of the other frequencies

High pressure causes nearby transmitters on the same frequency to travel a lot, lot further.

I would imagine there is a transmitter on 522Mhz that is being lifted further and clashing with the sandy signal.

Some frequencies will be ok as there is no overlap from the temporarily lifted signal.

High pressure causes signals from far away transmitters to be lifted and travel further.

I would imagine there is a nearby transmitter on 522Mhz that is now clashing with the sandy signal.

Other frequencies are ok as there is no clash.

Despite Freeview & BBC saying no problems with Sandy Heath transmitter there clearly IS A PROBLEM. I'm in South Cambridgeshire & have had no TV signal all day. It is clear from all the other comments on here & Down Detector website that MANY people are having problems. Please sort it out asap. Thanks.

Lost our signal sandy Heath Saturday evening 28th December 2019 have tried retuning but can only get London which we don't want, we want BBC look east. Even the London signal blips at times. Is this the weather then or something else and should we try to retune periodically?
