KEVIN GARDINER: Al Jazeera Arabic is on COM7, which is the new quasi-national multiplex which carries HD services. It is available from 30 transmitters only, at lower power than other multiplexes.
At your location it is only likely to be available from Sutton Coldfield. Brierley Hill and The Wrekin do not and will not broadcast it.

It's been reported on a forum that the BBC have put an audio stream of BBC Radio WM on Brierley Hill so presumably the whole Sutton Coldfield group. Just an audio stream, no LCN.

I do a channel re-tune at least once a month to see if there's any new carriers for any new and up-coming tv or radio channels. After performing a re-tune, I quickly scanned through the new channel line up, and I can safely say that the reported rumour that there was a audio stream of BBC radio WM on the Brierley Hill transmitter is false. The only new channels to appear in the last week are for the local tv channel and Bonanza on channel 64 and local tv temp position on ch 791.

KEVIN GARDINER: From the report at Read this: a516digital: BBC local radio spotted testing on Freeview in West Midlands | ukfree.tv - 11 years of independent, free digital TV advice the audio stream doesn't have any EPG data, so you won't see it without "test equipment".

Getting poor recrption currently on arqa. All others fine. Aerial in loft. Looks like a transmitter issue as signal gradually degraded.

Mark Stafford: More likely that the high pressure is causing signals on C39/42/45 from Tacolneston and/or Hannington to travel further than normal into the Sutton Coldfield coverage area thereby blocking reception on the COM muxes from S/C for some viewers.

I performed one of my monthly re-tunes to see what is new on Freeview, and today, the local tv test card has been replaced for the time being by children's tv channel " POP" on channel 75 in standard Freeview line-up. Both pop and Bonanza on ch 64 are temporary channels on the local tv com8 multiplex till June, when the local tv channel is launched between Easter and June this year, and the second channel slot is believed to be going to the ABC shopping channel.

anne: The only unusual thing I can see about RT is the mapped MHEG stream for IP-TV.
These all have the stream mapped to them:
