Mike B:
I had the same trouble, programmes not being recorded: it turned out to be because of a conflict between Sutton Coldfield and Waltham. I cured it by clearing the channels and then doing a manual retune of just the channels I wanted.
Re my recent problem, sudden bad reception from Waltham on my indoor aerial: my LG TV seems to have cured this for me: I did an autotune and found that, despite the aerial being aligned on Waltham, it had picked up all the channels from Sutton Cold field, in almost the opposite direction, except that it gave me the option of choosing Sutton or Waltham for BBC1 - I opted for Waltham so that I could get the East Midland news etc. Against all the odds, I'm now getting good reception on all desired channels including HD. Hope it lasts! Many thanks to those who have made suggestions.

Has anyone got any "signal quality" on channel 26 (the new local tv mix)? I have been seeing 96% signal strength for a few weeks, but zero signal quality. (52.9912,-1.2157)

The link is a setting on the EPG page of my Sony HD/DVD recorder. It allows an On setting if its enabled in the guide.
The problem is that it isn't always enabled form BBC-EMids whilst BBC-WMids seem to enable it. Also the East Mids one appears to be inconsistent.

Adam Analogue,
Using a group A aerial for Belmont and a group C/D aerial for Waltham, I'm receiving the 'Comux-local TV' test transmission colour bars on Ch.26 from Waltham at 30% signal strength and between 40% and 60% signal quality.
I live in Calverton, Notts.

Brian,
Does your machine have an "auto update" or "new channel message" function within its menus ?
There may be a possibility, with s-coldfield being before waltham in tuning, that overnight updates
are upsetting the memory of your harddrive ?

Adam - Calverton, Notts.
The recommended aerial type for receiving the full spectrum of services from the Waltham (25 / 50W) regional transmitter is a wideband type 'W' aerial. The older Yagi type grouped aerials (C/D, A, etc) in my opinion are not up to the job anymore (I've not fitted a grouped Yagi for 15yrs).
I would recommend using a log-periodic wideband aerial. This type of aerial very directional and has no reflector at the rear end which would exacerbate the problem of picking up unwanted frequencies from adjacent or stronger signal transmitters like Belmont (150KW) or Sutton Coldfield (200KW). If you were to get any cross channel interference from an adjacent transmitter then fit a 'banded' channel filter which can block unwanted frequencies (cost less than £10).

Gordon @ Picture Perfect.
Thank you for your interest.
My (oldish) aerial arrangement (A and C/D) allows me to receive all the available channels (including Nottingham Local tv. - currently test transmission colour bars on ch 26), from either Belmont or Waltham, so I'm quite happy.
My earlier comment was really in reply to Adam Analogue's posting of 18 January when he was querying the signal quality of Notts tv. on ch 26.
Regards, J.

Thanks for comments - started to receive two Freeview channels (791/792) on ch. 26 from Waltham at the end of January (wideband aerial) - 100% strength, 96% quality. Looks like all is set for reception of NottsTV from launch on 29 April.... (52.9912,-1.2157)
