We used to have a cheapo set top box and got all channels pre switchover. Preparing for switchover we updated to new Samsung set that got most or all, channels prior to switchover. Now only get around 20 - 30 channels. Eventually got this up to 75% of available but worried a retune will lose them again.
We are in Astruther in a fairly high position.
Help

Bernard: Bit hard to be specific without a full postcode.
Not all Freeview receivers have the same level of sensitivity, but you would expect the high power signals that will be provided after switchover to work with your newer equipment.
The best thing to do whilst you wait is to use your old Freeview box.

Bernard: Craigkelly has already switched over, so power levels are as high as they are going to get. See Freeview Reception has Changed.

Craigkelly: unable to watch BBC multiplex channels last night (27th Dec) due to bad stuttering. Other multiplexes were OK. Situated in yellow region in Edinburgh. Windy weather had been causing a problem but had re-secured the aerial mast. Aerail is new and pointing accurately. Coax cable is old but other multiplexes were fine.

Had forgotten to allow for magnetic variation but also found the rubber boot protecting the cable entry to the aerial box was perished. Cut back the cable and cleaned up the connection and hoping all is fine now. Channel search found an extra frequency and more channels. Got the compass bearing from UK digital TV reception predictor (EH111QG)

I'm having problems with channels on Mux COM6
ArqB and have been for some time. I can never watch Yesterday, Film 4 ITV4 etc without rally bad interference, blocky lines and uninteligble audio.
I have reset my 6 month old freeview box a few times, rescanned the channels etc to no avail.
I believe I'll be gettting my tv from the Craigkelly transmitter as live in Leith.
Anybody with similar problems or advice?
Thanks
