My aerial is on the roof but I have problems with my television which has a separate digi box, it has a very weak signal. This is NOT the case in other televisions around the house that have built in digi boxes.
I am on the Sudbury transmitter. I did hear a rumour that the signal it gives out will be boosted at some stage, is this true? and if so when? or should I go out and buy a new digi box.

Emily Dumas: Before you do anything, try the digibox in one of the other rooms attached to one of the other TVs and one of the other TVs on the cable for the digibox. If the problem stays with the room then it would be a wiring issue. If the problem stays with the digibox, then you might want to consider changing it, but please read on first.
Yes, the power of the weaker signals will be improved over the next year as other areas are upgraded (COM5 and COM6 in particular) but it may be that your digibox just cannot cope with the increased power from the other much stronger signals which now swamps the weaker ones.
Do the other TVs show a very healthy signal level, saying something like 100%? If that is the case, the solution is to weaken the signal to the digibox using a small device called an attenuator.

drrdf: It does rather seem that you are looking at the digital television system as it was an analogue system.
The work done by Arqiva is of the highest standard (well, apart from at Oxford).
I suspect you need to do some reading up about digital television transmission standards.

Near to Sudbury. Sport Tonight shows as running on the programme guide, but nothing seems to be transmitted. What is the problem despite linked to network ok.

Why are simple questions unanswered?
When will Sudbury transmit channel 12 etc. at a reasonable power level? IP33 Bury St.Edmunds, the current signal is just above blocking & will probably fail in bad weather. Is there an interference issue with Tacolneston analogue transmissions? Will things improve in November? The main channels are fine.

P Smith: Sudbury's next stage is to move ArqB - which carries Yesterday - to C63 on 16 November, to get out of the way of Tacolneston's high-power digital transmissions on C50.
The final channels and power levels will be reached on 27 June 2012, after Dover has stopped using them - the Meridian East region completes switchover on this date.
Digital UK's predictor suggests that your reception of ArqB should be improved when it moves to C63 in mid-November.
