irene naylor: It might be worth noting that you're in the centre of Leeds where there are tall buildings. As a result, some addresses might be blocked from receiving Emley Moor whilst neighbours aren't blocked. The same goes for other transmitters.
Digital UK suggests reception from Beecroft Hill relay may also be a possibility (although obviously that will probably depend on there being lack of obstruction in that direction).

Hi I have a new fully HD tv. I am unable to receive any of the 4 HD stations that are broadcast. The normal freeview stationd are ok with a good picture.
I have a loft aerial, post code is PE23 5ph.
I live in Little Steeping which is 3 miles from Spilsby.
Could it be that I need a outside aerial? or that HD Tv is not broadcast yet in my area

Thanks for the replies I am expecting (fingers crossed) that the signal will improve towards the end of the month, when Talconeston increases power as the 2 poor signals are Arq a and b.

Re. Blanking on Toshiba RV75 series on BBC1 HD. Been in touch with Toshiba tech support who say problem is caused by BBC continuously switching between 1080p and 1080i modes. They can give a partial firmware upgrade over the net now but are testing a complete solution to be available "very shortly" and will send the upgrade by post on an USB stick. So there!

Logged with BBC Digital, but not hopeful.

Tonight in Bridlington many people are unable to watch even the BBCITV channels as the signal is that poor we cannot even get a pixelated screen. This is beyond a joke not all of us can afford SkY!!!!
