i have got a 3view box which is connected to a it has hd on but 2weeks ago it packed up receiving the hd side to the box would there be any changes to stop hd working Martyn

Is it more snowy than usual, or have you only lost colour? If the latter, it's more likely to be a transmitter fault. If it's snowy as well, more likely it's at your end.

The BBC reckon you're more likely to be using the transmitter.

I've just lost from . at all this weekend. Tried rebooting and factory reset of humax u2 GDR box but no joy. Signal on ch31 when tuning shows 0.

Any ideas?

Kieran R: Sorry, for some reason you had a Southend-on-Sea postcode against your post which I assumed was correct.

If you're using it's even more likely that the fault is somewhere at your end. Black-and-white and fuzzy/snowy indicates low levels or high noise levels. Black-and-white, but clear, suggests a problem with your TV. Check the Colour control!

UK's predictor shows that for you, from Crystal Palace will be highly variable now, and up to . While the PSB multiplexes are expected to work reasonably well after switchover, the COM multiplexes probably won't - it shows no, because the same are used for the commercial multiplexes from .

If you just moved your , rather than changing it, it probably won't work very well. requires a Group E aerial designed to cover channels 35 to 68, while Crystal Palace requires a Group A aerial designed to cover channels 21 to 38. and semi-wideband aerials like the Group E type are a compromise, and they're particularly poor at lower frequencies compared to a similar-sized aerial designed for the job.

The analogue signals have to be switched off to make digital TV available to the vast majority of the population, and much more reliable for most of the people who have it now. There just isn't space in the UHF TV band for high power digital at all sites alongside analogue on their current frequencies. The Government also wants to sell off a part of the band for other .

If you really can't avoid the trees, you will have to consider or .

The introduction shows Associated Rediffusion as the ITV company from 1955 to 1968. Technically I believe that Associated Rediffusion operated from 1955 to 1964, then Rediffusion from 1964 to 1968 (when Associated Newspapers was no longer involved).

Hi,
Ive had a Group A fitted to receive from Stevenage. Works ok.
Notice that after a new Mux 8 is to appear on Chan 42 outside Group A? Does this mean I should really have installed a aerial? Is this info correct? UK Digital site doesnt show this new channel and states Group A will be Ok now and in future?

If you have no satellite signal, see Sky Digibox says 'No Signal' or 'Technical fault'
