Basically the whole of London should have changed from a band A ariel when it went up on channel 55 etc. You could get it financially supported if your only means of reception was freeview. Got cable or sat no. Obviously they kept quite about this.

I lived in London when it was moved of band A but was unaware of this. Rain and I lost reception. E4 area. Didn't help by this site publishing incorrect information.

The government sold out the frequencies and wrecked extended freeview HD. Living in West Wales they never got it so on Freesat now. Wimex microwave delivered broadband as well since BT never extended it very far as they run out of Welsh Government money.

Crystal Palace still transmits many channels in Group A, but the COMN7 and COM8 multiplexes are on channels 55 and 56 which are way above the Group A band, so a wideband aeial is needed.

This website was correct at the time of the change but subsequent changes have made some of the data incorrect. The owner knows about that.

The information about free support for aerials is on the Freeview site, there is no financial support, there are appointed contractors that replace the aerial for those that qualify.
Other than the temporary COMs 7&8, all the other Crystal Palace multiplexes are within Group A.
The 700MHz clearance is a Europe wide program, not just the UK.
Not all main transmitters carry COMs 7&8 for technical reasons and/or financial reasons.

You have the BBC B Multiplex for the main London Crystal Palace transmitter as on UHF Channel 48 from 21 March 2018. This multiplex is still on the previous designated UHF channel 30 now the 23 Feb 2020 ! This mistake cost me some wasted time and you should amend the listing. I assume that whoever decides the channel allocations may be intending to make this change in future ????? Who Knows ??? or Cares ??

As has been mentioned a few times around these pages, the site owner has not had the time to update all the details resulting from the 700MHz clearance. There are over 1100+ transmitters in the UK.
This site is a free independent help site for those with receptions problems that would like some advice.

If you need the latest authoritative information without asking for help here then visit Freeview | All your favourite TV shows, all in one place and all for free scroll down a bit and put your postcode etc in the boxes. Scroll down on the new page and select Detailed view.
You'll find the transmitters and multiplexes you might be able to receive & any future channel or predicted reception changes. There are no further predicted UHF channel changes for London as part of the 700MHz clearance.

since last night, (14th Feb 2020) I have had no tv signal and it states there are no channels. I have tried tuning it but it says there are no channels. I have phoned Camden up and they say it is not there problem, I phoned our TMO and they say it isn't there problem but yet I still do not have a tv that works.
Our ariel is on the roof. I believe our transmitter signal is received from crystal palace but it states there is no issue but yet two tvs in my home one brand new doesn't work

Amanda McGlew: Retuning is the worst thing to do when you loose signal as you have now deleted all of your channels which were previously correctly tuned, making it more difficult to see when the problem has been fixed. I'm guessing from your post that you live flat/apartment with a communal aerial system. Have you checked whether any of your neighbours have also lost signal? If they have, it points to a fault with the aerial system (it may have been damaged by the recent bad weather) in which case you will need to contact whoever is in charge of maintenance and get them to send someone to investigate.

I am having to retune in TW15- Crystal Palace mast- but can find precisely zero signal. I am in a strong signal area, so use an internal aeriel. This has not been a problem, before, but, is the whole of CP down ?

Andrew Healy:

Crystal Palace is currently list for Planned Engineering with "Possible service interruptions", so yes there can be times when there is no signal. It is never a good idea to retune when there is no or very low pixellating signals as all this tends to do is to clear the correct tuning.
You'll need to try retuning again when/after signals return and of course you might need several attempts at that, as they never say when or for how long signals may be interrupted, but for a main transmitter like Crystal Palace it's unlikely to be that long.

I live in Wokingham which is on the fringe of both Crystal Palace and Hannington transmitters.
When I tune my TV it wants to select HD channels from Crystal Palace C30 (546 MHz) which is not listed in your chart. Your chart only mentions C48 (689 MHz). Which is correct?
