MargaretJ: You're predicted to get better reception from Crystal Palace than Heathfield, although reception is showing as variable on some of the commercial channels. Nothing has changed at the transmitters so if you have lost channels which were working for you previously then your aerial system may have deteriorated or you could have a bad connection somewhere. It's worth checking the connections at the back of the TV first to make sure no cables are loose or damaged, then follow back towards the aerial as far as you can safely access.

On Sunday evening our television reception reduced to signal quality of 3-4 and we have lost ITV and channel 5 altogether. We have tried retuning the TV several times since. Our postcode is TN21 8TG. Can you help.

Alison: True Christmas is not broadcast from Heathfield. It is only available on transmitters which broadcast a local TV service.

Alison: Unfortunately not!, as true Christmas (74) is transmitted on what's known as a "local" multiplex, Midhurst the station indicated as covering your area not being fitted with same.

Hi I have bought a new TV and it keeps detuning the HD channels. I do an auto tune and it is ok but then overnight loses the HD channels. The TV has been changed but problem persist. Are there any engineering /weak signal problems that might account for this.
thank you
