Hi Alan, I do apologise about the confusion over the aerial, I'd been reading some other performance reports and clearly had the wrong one in mind!
As far as the XB10K tests by ATV go, the gain at C35 & C37 and C48 and C55 (they didn't measure C36 as there was no transmission on C36 at the time the tests were done) was 5dBuV compared to 4dBuV on C32 & C34. It peaks at 8dBuV at C52 & C53, so the results you are getting are a bit of a puzzle if attenuation post amp is not having any effect on the relative Quality and Strength figures.
As far as cable goes, it should have identification marking on its sheath. There is 50ohm cable but it's used in other applications. 75ohm is what should be used as you know.

Steppy: Sony Classic Movies is carried on the local TV multiplex, which is broadcast from Mendip, but only in the direction of Bristol and some of the surrouding areas.

Is there any issues with channel4 and film 4 signal. Seem to be having signal issues recently. I have rescanned and the aerial has no issues with other channels. Have notice that it seems to be during poor weather that we get the issues

Andrew Sparkes :
Channel4 and Film4 are both on the D3&4/PSB2 multiplex the same as a number of ITV channels - see Channel listings for Industry Professionals | Freeview for which channels are on which multiplex. Did you not notice similar problems with ITV?
Mendip had been listed for Planned Engineering (Possible weak signal) so that might have caused an issue. As you probably know, in your location (assuming you haven't moved) you can receive two other main transmitters - Wenvoe & Stockland Hill. If Mendip was weak when you retuned you might have become inadvertently not tuned to Mendip. Check in your TV's tuning section that you are correctly tuned to Mendip's UHF channels. See my post 3 before yours (9th Jan.).

I'm in Chipping Sodbury and don't seem to be able to get channel 51 Sony Classic Movies. I've tried a rescan but no joy. The freeview.co.uk site mentions "planned engineering work" at Mendip. Might this be the problem?

For last few days (5 March) no BBC reception (all stations, TV and Radio).
Other stations OK.
Usual standard advice from BBC - do reset, old aerial etc.
Please explain - why suddenly, why only BBC?

Fiona: Please provide a full postcode so that we can see what the predicted reception is at your exact location. Were you previously receiving Sony Classic Movies? If you were, it may be that broadcast power has been reduced temporarily whilst the engineering work is taking place.
Barrie: We need to know where you are (please provide a full postcode) to know what reception is predicted to be like at your location. There is currently planned engineering work taking place at Mendip, which may result in the transmitter broadcasting at lower power temporarily whilst the work takes place. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? If you retuned whilst the channels were missing you may have deleted the correct tuning data for the missing channels.
