@ Solent-Viewer. I am in Totton with an external aerial. Sky News is almost unwatchable here because the signal keeps on pixellating or not being there (No Signal msg). The odd thing is that this has only developed in the last week. I wonder if power has been reduced since Crystal Palace began the switchover on Wednesday.

I live in Weymouth & we get a reduced Freeview service from a local transmitter on Wyke hill.
I purchased a Triax 52 element group a aerial & mast head booster installed them myself I am a qualifed electrician & as part of my apprentiship back in the 1960's did a few months aerial rigging so I have a little experiance in this field, lined up the aerial using the meter in the settings menu on the tv & like magic on channels 21 & 27 receive a 77% signal.
Look forwards to 18th of April when if my info. is correct channels 30 33 & 37 are also boosted to 20k as well.

Idris: If you are referring to reception from Rowridge then its with an extreme bit of luck, as you are predicted as at no time being able to receive any commercial muxes from this station, even after switchover, but however the best reception on the PSB muxes is indicated as being by far the best from the vertically polarised transmissions from Rowridge, so if the aerial is not presently on that polarity maybe you could turn it around 90 degrees to the vertical position.

By the way the channels after switchover are 24 - 27 - 21 - 25 - 22 - 28, the latter three presently being on 30 - 37 - 33 until the 18th.

Idris: Forgot to qualify this by saying that the predictions seen are from a test code being used of DT4 8HA, Weymouth post office.

Idris: Further to the comments from jb38; the main problem for reception of the COM muxes from Rowridge will be interference from Stockland Hill, which uses the same frequencies. Stockland Hill uses horizontal polarisation, so using vertical polarisation for Rowridge as well as careful aerial positioning so as to null out Stockland, if there is an unwanted signal from there, might be necessary.

Hi Again
A request from some who may have the info I want.
The Digosville transmitter near Cherbourg is almost direct line of sight south from my house in Weymouth.
A couple of years ago I by chance while searching for the Beacon Hill transmitter near Plymouth locked into some France channels, from Cherbourg I presume I am currently undertaking a French course at a local college & would like to find them again if at all possible does anyone know what channels they transmit on so I can try a manual search.

Hello,
I have tried retune, tv is working a bit better but I have lost about 15 channels since switchover, TopupTV box isituation is worst than TV, and no matter how many times I retune, the box doesn't download nor records what it is set up to record. No signal popup appears now and then, while stil able to see some thing ( on some channels). I'm in BH20 DW, smack in the Rowridge green patch. BBC jerky, channels on tuners are 24 27 30 33 37, tuner 1 on 24 tuner 2 on 30 topup tv channels . I am at lost as to what to do. (50.6760,-2.2298)
