Mr Singh: Re ITV1 being on BBC TWO analogue channel, see comment to phillip wigley two above.

phillip wigley: You should probably try a variable attenuator. If you have a very large aerial you can easily have a signal that will block the Freeview box from receiving anything at all.

Mr Singh: There were NO CHANGES at the Derby transmitter at this date, as it only currently broadcasts BBC ONE East Midlands and ITV 1 East Midlands.
The Derby transmitter will start the non-HD multiplexes in two weeks, and Freeview HD will start later in the year.

My postcode is DE23 1PT.
I've just retuned my DVD recorder and that is showing the BBC's but the Sony TV tuner is not.
The channels were working fine yesterday.

Restored to factory settings and set the TV up again and the channels are back.
Thank you for your help.
Something strange going on with the radio channels, they're being repeated in the 800's.
Regarding Hd, please can you let me know when I will be able to receive these.
Thanks

Mr singh, its possible your picking up more than one digital transmission.I'm in the waltham radial but can get belmont really clearly despite being 90degrees off with the aerial! (And it matches the signal strength of waltham on the itv multiplex).
Repeat signals are listed in the 800s, you will likely find some digital tv channels there too.

Hi,
New to this forum. I would like some advice on aerials. Just recently had my aerial removed from my roof due to some repairs. I've been told that aerial can be put in loft. Which aerial would you recommend for LE4 Birstall area, Leicester receiving transmission from Waltham?
I have a hd ready tv but not one with a built in hd receiver. Looking to upgrade at some point. Looking for the best loft aerial solution. Thanks
