Cannot wait for Freeview HD & the power boost at the end of this month!!
I have a PC build (as a dedicated HVR) with 2x BGT 3620's (Dual DVB-T2 tuners)
So come the end of the month i can full mux dump 4 of the 6 muxes or record 4 channels at once either HD or SD and the full mux dumping means i can record pretty much everything on Freeview SD :)

yes the power increase is most welcome, the usb tuners i'm using are deafer than my tv and pvr.
Mux 1 & 2 are ok for one tuner but poor for the other despite them being the same device.

The early hours of Wednesday 9 November 2011,around 12:25am or 0025 hours,is when the programme The Choir:Military Wives ends on BBC2,that station's analogue signal from the Tacolneston transmitter (on channel 55) and it dependent relays will be forever turned off,thus commencing DSO1 here.The BBCA 100kw (maximum powered) multiplex on channel 55 will shortly commence broadcasting around possibly 12:40am or 0040 hours,and there is a strong likelyhood that the far South East of Lincolnshire,already an overlapped Belmont/Waltham (maybe Sandy Heath ?) area,may also become overlapped by an enlarged Tacolneston coverage area,more noticeable around the towns of Spalding,Boston and possibly Skegness too.Bearing in mind Tacolneston will be a high powered digital mast broadcasting on 100kw on all six mux's,BBCA from Wed 9 Nov 2011,plus D3+4,BBCB (HD),SDN,ArqA,ArqB all the remaining five from Wed 23 Nov 2011,there is a danger that the weaker digitally powered 25kw-50kw Waltham transmitter may be given up by some freeview viewers in South East Lincolnshire in particular and instead commit themselves to the more powerful Tacolneston/Belmont (maybe Sandy Heath ?) masts.Watch this space !

I believe that when the new muxA on Channel 55 is switched on on Nov 9th it will be on its full power level. Those who pick up from Tacolneston who are used to the low power signal levels at present and consequent larger aerial systems may find that the new Mux A signals are too strong but reducing their aerials effectiveness to cater for this power level until the others catch up on Nov 23 could result in them losing the other low power muxes. That said, it is good news, at least, that the underpowered present transmitter will be outputting all muxes on full power from Nov 23rd.

Mike Smith.Correction.The new high powered 100kw BBCA mux on ch 55 on Tacolneston's new higher mast around 12:40am,0040 hours on Wednesday 9 November 2011 will become fully operational 15 minutes after the BBC2 analogue signal on ch 55 switches off for good around 12:25am,0025 hours.The Mux A you described will be switched off along with Mux's 2,B,C,D at DSO2 on Wednesday 23 November 2011 along with analogue BBC1 East,ITV1 Anglia,Ch4 and Ch5,while the lower powered Mux 1 is switched off minutes after the BBC2 analogue signal disappears forever on DSO1 two weeks earlier (Wed 9 Nov 2011).You may find at DSO1,some channels BBC4,BBC Parliament,Ceebies,303 and all the BBC Radio stations on Mux B will become duplicated in the 800+ programming list,dont worry this is normal until these duplicated channels disappears at DSO2 along with all the remaining low powered pre-digital mux's.Come Wed 23 Nov 2011,DSO2 the five remaining higher powered mux's all on 100kw will come on air from the new mast,and soon after the 4kw restrictions on the ArqA & ArqB mux's from the Belmont transmitter (on ch's 53 & 60) will be lifted as the power increases 25 times to 100kw for its two currently understrength multiplexes there.

Yes, sorry, I am getting my Muxes mixed up I should have said BBC A mux and not mux A that is launching on full power on Ch 55 on Nov 9th.
I do find all these new Mux names confusing surely Mux 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or Mux A, B, C, D, E, F would have been much easier but perhaps I look at things far too logically and methodically.

Mike Smith: Old mux names: numbers given to public service broadcasters allocated by the 1996 Act (1 and 2), commercial ones auctioned off to the highest bidders - letters (A, B, C and D).
New multiplex names: public service broadcasters: "PSB1" "PSB2" and "PSB3" and commercial "COM4" "COM5" and "COM6" most of the time, or "BBC A", "Digital 3 and 4", "BBC B", "S4C Digital Networks", "Arqiva A" and "Arqiva B" when referring to the multiplex owner.

mike smith.I was right.I did forecast the BBC2 analogue signal will be switched off permanently around 12:25am (0025 hours),after the programme "The Choir:Military Wives" had ended.By the time this text goes up DSO1 will have just commenced,its high powered BBCA multiplex on ch 55 will be by now broadcasting from the new mast on full 100kw power.Just so you know the low powered Mux1 from the old mast is also now forever switched off minutes after the BBC2 analogue signal disappeared.As i mentioned in my earlier text don't worry about some duplicated channels namely BBC4,BBC Parliament,303 and Ceebies going onto the 800+ programming list,this is normal until DSO2 is completed in 2 weeks time on Wednesday 23 November 2011 when the remaining four analogue channels BBC1 East,ITV1 Anglia,Channel 4 and Channel 5,along with low powered pre-digital swichover mux's 2,A,B,C,D are all switched off for good from the old mast,and the remaining 5 high powered mux's D3+4,BBCB (HD),SDN,ArqA and ArqB (all each 100kw powered mux's) being switched on from the new mast.
