We are a TV repair company in the area and have noticed problems with ARQA since last week. Its effecting a range of Toshiba TVs and few other makes causing breakup.
Tested on our known good Aerial system and its still breaking up - this is not too much signal or poor signal. its a transmission problem and not faulty sets.

My two Samsung tellys showed sound sync problems from Friday night on all channels broadcast on ArqA mux channel 45 from Sutton.
My PVRs are in sync but seem to be struggling to cope with intermittent freezing picture. On the tellys the sound is 1 second ahead of the picture. What is going on.

I've got sound problems on channels 11,19, 20, 29, 45 and 46, when viewed via a Panasonic DVD recorder... All other channels seem fine via the DVD recorder and the channels listed above are also OK (though slightly out of sync) when watched direct via a Samsung TV. Picture is OK either way, but sound is garbled via the DVD recorder on just those six channels...
I tried re-tuning the DVD recorder but it makes no difference to them.
First noticed this Friday night - everything was fine until then. I'm in the SW corner of the coverage zone, near Kidderminster.

Update:
We have just had a range of Pansonic DVD recorders, Samsung TVs and more Toshiba tv's etc into the workshop with these problems.
We have reported this directly to the BBC / Arqiva. They are looking into these problems as we speak

Further to my comment at 3.21, I've just checked again and the situation is still the same, on the same channels - all are OK via the TV but those six have garbled sound if watched (or, obviously, if recorded) via the DVD recorder......
Silly thing is, the aerial is wired into the DVD recorder, so all channels come into THAT and FROM that to the TV....
