cake: Just out of curiosity, if you go into the "manual tuning" option on whatever you are using and enter Ch50 but NOT followed by pressing search or , then what level of strength / of do you see being indicated?

If zero then try the same again but on this occasion entering Ch49.

I have had problems with "" and continuous pixelated since about the 10th of April 2013.
I have done all the necessary tuning and an inspection of my Ant.
Just the same.Please can anyone!!!!
I have contacted uk and also the BBC and im being told that there is no problems.
But I still have the problems now 19 April 2013.

Just reporting as promised on the response to my complaint to the BBC's fault reporting service at Radio & Television Investigation Service

No surprise at all to receive a email message telling me what I already know about what happened on 10/4/13 and my need to retune. No evidence whatsoever that any of the detailed information I provided was even read by them.

I've now ordered an to see if that helps. This is starting to feel like getting a bad pint of in a pub and being told "Well, nobody else has complained..."

I'm not sure what kind of answer you wanted from the BBC? They are responsible for the getting to you, but if you local installation doesn't work, then it's not their job to send an engineer out.

You've already said that you helped retune an elderly neighbour, so it's not the signal. You probably don't need a (don't know how far you are from ), just get a qualified installer out so they can use their equipment to check the signal.

DebbieK: Thanks for the report on your findings, although just for clarification, were these levels obtained using the procedure mentioned to cake?

The other point being, (and purely for the notebook!) that to put these indications into perspective it would also have been of assistance if you had given a clue as to your location, as the distance / angle you are from the could have been cross referenced against the whereabouts of others who might also be having difficulties, this giving an idea if the problem is confined to only being experienced by those who reside at a certain angle from the mast.

jane: The easiest way to solve this problem is to clear the , then commence a re- with the unplugged. Plug in the aerial at in the scan to cover the frequencies. Otherwise it is necessary to do a manual tune (where equipment allows manual tuning) for each of the Winter Hill frequencies. With the present allocation, auto-scan will always find the signals from Moel-Y-Parc in and possibly ( Midlands) before the NW/Winter Hill signals are found at your location.
