Sure I have seen the problem with a solution somewhere on ukfree but cannot find it so here goes.
Since the switchover at Belmont I get the message "new channels found" each time I switch on.
As well as Belmont my receiver is also picking up Sandy Heath but I have set it
for Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Any advice on how to get rid of this message please.

John Fisher, depending on your equipment you may be able to turn off the auto update from the menu, or alternatively do a manual tune using just the frequencies for Belmont.

Briantist-bbc hd picture occasionally goes
off for a split second,then comes back on,otherwise ok,any idea what might be causing this?,the rest of the hd channels are spot on.any body else had this problem?

mr wainman: You would really have to indicate your location (pref: post code) to enable your reception possibilities to be checked on, as when you refer to better quality its assumed that you are meaning reasonably glitch free, as the quality of digital TV does not change with varying signal strengths so long as they stay above the cut off threshold.

I live in Bridlington which is right on the reception edge of belmont. I was hoping to get better reception when we went digital, alas nothing has changed for the better some channels now are worse, did not have signal quality of 1 before for so many channels. I do get many channels with a top 10 strength so I feel it is set up ok. Inote a post about Tacolneston,will that effect me, is ther anything else I can try or are we doomed in Bridlingtonto poor reception. Note many friends have the same problem in the town.

Alan Fumagalli: Could you be more specific about which channels work correctly and which give signal quality of 1? The note regarding Tacolneston is to the effect that currently due to sharing the same frequencies with Tacolneston, the transmissions from Belmont on Mux ArqA (Sky News, Dave etc) and Mux ArqB (Film4, ITV4 etc) are at reduced power until 23rd November 2011.
