Chris.SE: Yes, Chris, I understand all that now. Thanks for responding.
As I said over on Black Hill, there's lots of useful and interesting information on this site - I have referred to it on and off for years. It's a real pity it's not being maintained.

Since the rearrangements for 5G I am struggling with BBC Four HD. Will things improve when we lose 55 and 56 in November?

AEKostas:
What makes you think that you'll (necessarily) lose 55 in November? 56 (COM8) has already been closed by Arqiva for commercial reasons - nothing else. There's still quite a bit of misleading information around, some based on some comment that the auction of 700MHz frequencies will take place in November, but I have yet to see an official OFCOM statement to that effect. Please read Rebuilding Freeview High Definition from 2019 onwards | free and easy
As it says at the end of that post Arqiva could decide to close COM7 at any time for commercial reasons. In any event COM7 signals will not change between now and June 2022 which is the final end date for COM7 if it doesn't close before. As for BBC4HD, you need to look to the BBC for what may happen there, there is (I believe) a review concerning BBC4 and rumours about it possibly being closed. If it continues, whether there will be space on the BBC HD multiplex for it when COM7 closes, or whether Arqiva will have started converting another multiplex to HD and the BBC move it there, is all speculation and an unknown at this time.

Thanks Chris and sorry for the delay in answering. I read about c55 going under How will the Craigkelly (Fife, Scotland) transmission frequencies change over time? above. Thanks in particular for the Four news; no point changing my aerial if it's to go.
Ach well...

AEKostas:
As per my post towards the top of the page, that section is not up-to-date (and is misleading). On the list of channels ArqB is wrongly listed as C38, the Local mux is wrongly listed as C30. COM7 is wrongly shown on C33 as is COM8 on C34. As already stated Arqiva closed COM8 (C56) for commercial reasons.
If there has been an announcement of an auction date in November (well hidden and not found yet) it will be some considerable time after IF any MNOs buy the centre frequencies where C55 & C56 are, as equipment to use these as SDOs has to be developed (and installed) as do handsets. That will not happen in a hurry.

Hi - I've had my aerial set up for around six months or so (South-Central Edinburgh facing Craigkelly), but the last few days (maybe a week), I've been unable to get COM6, COM7 and LEH. I'm only particularly bothered about COM7 but I'm perplexed what has happened or what I need to do. Any ideas appreciated - thanks!

Make sure you are tuned to the correct UHF channels, see my post at Craigkelly (Fife, Scotland) Full Freeview transmitter | free and easy and some following posts give some further relevant information.
Check you don't have any HDMI leads close to any aerial or flyleads especially if the aerial/flyleads are not high quality double screened types. HDMI is known to sometimes cause interference.
Otherwise check all your coax connections as the transmitter hasn't been listed for Planned Engineering and I can't track down any reported faults (that doesn't mean there hasn't been any!).
