Of course, the Divis COM channels are co-channel with the Darvel COM channels. So if there are spots where Divis' COMs come in then that could degrade reception of Darvel's COMs.
The COM channels carry ITV3, Pick TV, Dave, Film4, 4seven and others.
Perhaps in some cases a different aerial would be better at rejecting these unwanted signals.

Dave, further to your response about Divis interfering with some Ayrshire homes besides changing the aerial what else can be done , in one occasion i was 80 strength on CH23 but no quality when once there was great quality

The ATV site provides some useful information.
I'm not sure what else I can add as I'm not an aerial installer, more a technical bod.
Perhaps one of the pros can offer some more guidance.

I've checked for the above interference but can't find any.
My BBC 1 & 2 channels are constantly breaking up, freezing & showing a message saying there's no transmitter. All other channels seem fine.
My local transmitter is Darvel.

Why have we in Irvine North Ayrshire lost Channel 23?

William C Small: There is no known reason for you having lost reception from Darvels COM4 transmitter, have you as yet checked with any of your neighbours to find out if they are still able to receive ITV3 etc? if however they can, then remove the aerial from your TV or box and carry out an auto-tune to blank out anything stored, this then being followed by reconnecting the aerial and carrying out a second auto-tune to reload the channels into the tuners memory.
