Phillip: The HD channels on satellite are at the same bitrate and resolution as those on Freeview. You should see no difference at all between Freeview HD and Freesat HD.
You should clearly be able to see the difference between SD and HD..

There is an article in our local paper stating RTE is going to be broadcast on UK Freeview from Divis later this year. Is there any truth to this and how will this happen??
It does not mention Limavady transmitter which is strange.....

Hi do you know why Divis's Freeview signals are so erratic over the past days Having real trouble setting up aerials because the signal strength is so hit and miss. Metered channels 23, 26 and 29 are completely wrecked Areas we installed aerials before seem to be suffering no signal and we have lots of moaning customers when we check systems we find no problems only crappy signals. Please advise......

This is due to lift conditians Satfix i.e. the high pressure. I'm afraid you'll have to put up with it until the weather conditions change.
Hopefully, once DSO happens (Nov. 2012) this will be a thing of the past.
Receiving Caldbeck in this area of Newtownabbey off and on over the last few days.

Peter Henderson: Yes, the COFDM-only networks are be much more capable of rejecting stray signals.
You can see this in that the switched regions have had no problems where unswitched regions have over the last few years.
