I live in Lisburn and have had interference and lost channels on mux 2 and mux d for 2 days now.
Nothing has changed in the house or local area that we know of. Next door has lost channels too. Any ideas???

I was receiving channels 4,5 ITV2 etc fine until the last few weeks. Now I am lucky to get them once a week. I have checked with friends in the same area and they are having the same problems. Is anything going to be done to resolve this?

Interesting does the RTE mux broadcast at the same time as Divis switches over?
Can anyone answer why they have suddenly dropped metnioning Duvis as broadcasting this mux does that mean it won't?
The new antenna mast at Divis appears to have a larger aerial underneath to top television aerial. Just curious to what this is for?

Jordy: Do you have a link to that information ?
John: Was wondering the same thing myself re. the RTE mini mux.
I had been led to believe it would broadcast from Divis (the old mast would be apparently retained for this purpose), Brougher, Carnmoney Hill, and Black Mountain (presumably the low power relay for West Belfast).
Recent press releases have, as you say, dropped Divis so is Black Mountain going to use a higher power ? 5 watts is hardly going to cover all of greater Belfast.

Peter Henderson: Digital UK did publish a brochure stating 10th and 24th October 2012 on their website, but the site was reverted to an older version. There could still be an announcement in the next week or so, much longer and it's probably further delayed.
Black Mountain is the old IBA VHF TV mast - Divis was the BBC mast - and has plenty of aperture for a high-power antenna. Channel 5 analogue transmits at 50 kW, apparently from a skew-fire array at the top of the 228 metre mast. A cantilever could perhaps be added if required, or RT could take over the C5 array, depending on how flexible it is and whether it might be needed for MUX 7, 8, 9.
It may be that the new Divis mast wasn't designed to take the weight of the RT mux antenna in addition to everything else, assuming that for whatever reason the PSB or COM main antennas can't be used.

Can you possibly let me know if or when it might be possible to receive RTE digital transmissions from the Devis Mountain transmitter.

Jordy: I have put the new provisional dates up, but, as per my agreement with Digital UK, they show as "to be confirmed".
