Bob: Fully appreciating the points mentioned in your reply, but though, I wasn't actually suggesting that you do this yourself anyway!, as I am fully aware of the range of logistical problems involved in carrying out tasks of this nature, especially on one's own, safety being the main concern.

The only reason for mentioning what I did, was just in case you had considered this task as being within your scope.

I also have a problem with Freeview on the Angus Transmitter for the second time this week. Only picks up BBC channels on reset and that is breaking up all the time. No other channels. Long dark days with no usable TV. Any update on previous post?

We are now receiving much better reception than in the past from the Angus transmitter. This is especially the case on ITV 3 and Drama which I see are still rated at 10,00 watts. Nothing from our end has changed - the ariel is the same and in the same position, but we have retuned the Freeview Box when prompted to do so. When re-tuning we get a 95-100% signal now - much improved from a few years ago. Has there been an uplift in output or signal directional change made? I would be very interested to know. Anyway we get a great signal on all channels now - well done!

John Robertson : STV2 is not available on Freeview in Perth. It's available on Sky in areas that have STV and Virgin Media cable areas.

Hazel: There are no reported problems or engineering work for any of the transmitters covering your postcode. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connectors behind your TV?
