Gordon Nicol:

Assuming you are using the Craigkelly transmitter, you need a wideband aerail to get all the channels. The ones you appear to not be getting are transmitted in the COM 7 and COM 8 multiplexes which are on channels 55 and 56, so well above the frequencies for the other channels. They are transmitted using DVB-T2 encoding so you need to have a Freeview HD set, not just an HD Ready type.

Robert Smith: You should be able to receive PBS America on the COM8 multiplex from the Sutton Coldfield transmitter at your postcode. You will need a TV or PVR which receives HD channels and you may need a wideband aerial (if you already receive BBC Four HD on 108 then you should be ready to go).

k bennett:

As mention in the post previous to yours, PBS America is on the COM8 multiplex (LCN91) see Digital UK | Channel listings
It depends which transmitter you are receiving as to whether it has COMs 7&8.
If you put your postcode into Digital UK - Coverage checker it will give you which transmitters and multiplexes are available and the predicted reception at your location.

After mandatory re-tune on 31st July 2019 I have also lost channels 86-99. No PBS America or Smithsonian both of which I watched a lot. I have a Humax HD Freeview box.

jane jerdan: If you're in Cumbria or the Scottish Borders receiving the Caldbeck transmitter then COM7 & COM8 (which carry PBS America, Smithsonian, BBC Four HD, etc) closed when the frequency changes took place early yesterday. If you provide a full postcode we can check if you're using another transmitter and offer further advice if this is the case.

Why can't I get PSB America on one PVR but can on another one?

Both TVs show the channel.

I am on Winter Hill.
