For one of my Christmas presants I have a tv capture card,Its ok but it picks up very week signals from Belmont and Bilsdale. So I have a 6db antenuater.Put this in and bye-bye Belmont and bilsdale.
See if you can get one it just fits on.Take out your aireal lead, plug this unit in and plug it back in your tv

I live at s63 7ae I too get my signals from emley moor this tv card is very keen to tune in to Belmont and Bilsdale and there is no manual turning on it so of course it was picking them up first.
So by me putting in this attenuator got rid of Belmont and Bilsdale.
It worked for me I am only saying try it.

David Parker thanks for the reply but i do also wonder if a high pass tvi filter with braid breaker would be better than having a attenuator due to me only having this issue for close to 3 months now, yet i've never had so many issues like this before in the past :/

What transmitter are tuned to?
Is ths the same transmitter that your Mum & Dad are on?
If you are only had this problam for last 3 months do you think you may not be getting it from emley moor.
check to see if you any chanels in the 800 range.
What the hell is a tvi filter i have never heard of them
they sound very dear to me.

both myself and my parents are tuned to emley moor as this is the only transmitter we can get with the best signal also the glitches i get is on both of the hd mux (634mhz and 562mhz) am guessing these glitches will also happen to the sd channels aswell. i've always been tuned to emley moor as i can't even pick any other transmitters up. i am abit clueless as what to do next to remove/reduce the interference i am getting :/ a tvi filter is "This high pass filter is designed to reject aerial-borne interference. It connects straight to the back of your TV or video recorder in line with your antenna to stop those unwanted signals."

I'm at uni at Leeds Met in Halls, and I cannot get any free view channels at all. Neither can my friends - yet we're in the middle of the city! Is there anything I'm missing we need to sign up for? Thank you

David phelan: By tuning to Emley Moor rather than Bilsdale.
Try having your aerial unplugged for the first 30% of the automatic tuning scan or until it gets past UHF channel 30.

Becca, You do not need to sign anything for FREEview. Maybe one of the other guys can tell you of repeaters for Emley Moor. There were a number of them like Bramley, Idle, even a transposer at HMP Armley, but since DTV came in, I'm not sure what is operating now.
