Brian, Given the recent high winds and copious amounts of rain we have been subject to, I suggest that YOU are correct.

Richard, consider your own safety and that of others, and please employ a qualified rigger to check the roof installation.

Your household insurance could possibly cover such damage.

BTW Drop in signal was very temporary. It is amusing(best word i can think of) how differently my 4 Freeview devices say what signal they are getting. Meanest is the Humax HD PVR saying 23% for Local MUX and 60% for MUX A/PSB1, Humax SD PVR 9300t says 56%/75%, Toshiba TV says ' just on average/just below strong'(no % given) and those three are daisy chained from the same loft antenna with no pre-amp and feeding them individually makes no difference. My old Bush Freeview box(£28 from Tesco some 7 years ago) in first floor south-facing study with 5" circular tinned copper wire directly into a co-ax plug just indicates full signal bar on all MUXes although orientation for channel 56 is most critical. Quality assessments are all 100%/very good. I must be in a lucky area.

Before someone picks me up on the Bush Freeview Box, I should have said 'all SD MUXes'.

For the last couple of months, there have been some channels on our freeview TV's in the house. There has been signal problems on a select number of channels, these being: E4+1, ITV +1, The Food Network, Pick TV and 5* (to name a few). I have tried retuning one of the TV's in the house thinking that this would solve the problem, however this resulted in the loss of these channels. I haven't tried any of the other TVs as I don't want the same thing to happen again. I know of other people that live in the surrounding area that are having the same problems with exactly the same channels. There are some people I know however, who are not having any problems at all with the Freeview TVs in their homes. I am just wondering therefore, if there is anything, or any way to fix this?
