mikem004: It might - certainly some TV's are more sensitive than others.

However, as I said, your situation is odd. If you were 5-10km from a transmitter, and had breakup with 100% signal strength, then that would be easy. If its far too low (30%?), then that also makes sense - a duff aerial connection, etc.

But to have breakup on Com4 when the signal strength is actually perfectly OK is just weird.

Getting breakup on most channels now, even BBC1 (signal strength=78) and BBC2!
The current weather conditions, high pressure, must be causing this.

Having seen a post on the Winter Hill page about CBS Action, I've just scanned Ch48 and the place holder 90 for CBS Action and orange info' screen is there as well.

Robert Hill: I can just pick it up with the rooftop aerial connected directly in the LG TV which has built-in booster turned to on. I haven't tried it looped through the PVR (they are usually connected via a splitter). Picture breaks up when connected via splitter, even when booster is on.

Transmitter is on a bearing of 278 degress @ 25 miles. Aerial must have line-of-sight, or near enough, as Emley Moor tower is visible on the horizon from a nearby railway bridge.

Has there been a recent change in output from Emley Moor.
On the Morning of Thurs 23rd Oct after a few mins signal broke up (Cbeebies much to the disgust of a generation that do not understand power cuts and the like).
I have remade connectors and swapped TVs, the fault remains with the cheap and chearfull Wharfdale branded TV and so could be the tuner circuit board breaking down.

We live BD16 3DQ and put in a XB10 B aerial (inside the loft) with line of sight to Emley Moor (35miles). approx. 2 yrs ago to pick up the HD channels.

I will probably move the current aerial outside on a short pole next week adding few dB gain but it would be nice to know if some changes have been made before I go for the Yagi I should probably have bought!

Dave Lindsay - at 278degrees you seem to be around 5-6dB down on the main lobe of the ch56 mux but I don't think you are missing much as it seems all their content will be centred on happenings inside the Leeds ring road judging by the current promo'.
