I checked it again this morning and all Freeview HD channels were OK. Signal strength = 10, signal quality = 6.
Most non-HD Freeview channels are 10/10.
I'll keep an eye on things in the meantime.

Peter Sorrell: You would expect that, given the power output levels.

Just asking to see if anybody has any advice on solutions to a problem I have got with Interference on Digital TV channels.

I recently upgraded to Sky HD and bought a Sony BVDE370 Cinema System to gain the full benefit of the HD box. This works fine in the lounge but taking the second co-axial output through a booster box, 40 metres of coaxial cable to a TV in the dining room, I get signal problems on some digital channels.

I live in the Emily Moor region and get problems with ITV & ITV3, which I believe are on two different Multiplex Channels 40 & 43, go to no signal when I turn on the Surround Sound system. (BBC 1 etc which are on channel 51 are not affected noticably).

I have replaced the cheap fly leads with shielded cables which seemed to solve the problem but it reoccurred a couple of days later.

Moving the large bass speaker does not appear to make any difference.

Any ideas what to try next ?

Thanks
Jason

Jason Shaw: Please put your postcode into the box at the top right and when the page returns, it will show you the best three RF channels to use with the Sky RF output as "Spare RF".

Hi Briantist

Moved rf out to channel 64, re tuned tv ok to find signal quite easily. Still got the same problem when I turn on the Sony System.

Digital Signal Strength for ITV drops from about 6 or 7 straight down to 0 as soon I turn on the unit.
Signal Strength for BBC1 is normally 9 or 10.

jason shaw, are your aerial cables and speaker/power cables entangled/running along side each other?

No not at all, maybe the signal is too weak to pull the channels in at the moment. The only reason I re-tuned was because of break up on Sunday evening only to lose them completely.

Neil Connelly: The work is listed on a week-by-week basis. However, I would also have a look at Single frequency interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

I went on holiday from YO7 3AR at the beginning of December and all channels were perfect including HD. I have just come back to rubbish digital reception. I notice that you state that digital transmission from Emley Moor is "Possibly weak signal"
For how much longer is this state of affairs to continue?
