J Stewart: The transmitter has no reported problems, and certainly any problem that lasted for weeks would get widely noticed. Its probably not the transmitter, but its very likely your system.
If its happening to all the TV's in the house, then find the common link - possibly a distribution box, etc. You say you have various aerials, but are they actually feeding any TV's, or is it just one?
BTW - to see what your reception should be like, we need a postcode, which you can just put into the site - it will bring up lots of useful information.

Here in York,(YO1 6HH) using signals from Emley Moor via our roof-top aerial we have been experiencing very bad break up on most channels over the last 13 days. Often around 6pm the major channels return to a good signal. Yesterday evening we resorted to listening to the radio as we were getting break up on ALL channels. This morn ing we find a perfect signal on BBC1 but break-up on some freeview channels indicates we are not out of the woods yet. Definitely looks like engineers are involed in reducing signal strengths. Using internet signal strength problem websites we found a report the breakup of signals from Emley Moor was taking place on Monday 16th Oct (The first day we noticed the problem) The report did not state duration of the work & using the signal problem site since every thing is reported as being hunky-dory! Affects neighbours.

Colin:
There are no reported problems at Emley Moor currently and no engineering works listed either.
Have you checked with your neighbours whether they are having the same problems with Freeview reception?
The fact that things appear to return to normal at a certain time of day suggests there may be electrical interference causing the problem. Check to see if there are any timer controlled devices that turn off at about that time.

On some TV's I can't retune it to receive Freebiew channel 45 ( Film 4 +1 ).
Tried manual frequencies to pick it up (C41) but no luck , I love in York

Steve: Film4 +1 is carried on the PSB3 HD multiplex and therefore can only be received on TVs or boxes that support Freeview HD (HD Ready or Full HD is not enough as these only indicate that the TV can display a HD picture, whereas a DVB-T2 tuner is needed to receive any channel on a HD multiplex even if that channel is only in SD).

Hello. I think as of December 1 2017 Talking Pictures has moved off the HD C32 to C48. Could be wrong, but I think so.

Peter: Talking Pictures moved from COM7 to COM6 yesterday and can now therefore be received by any Freeview receiver that can receive 4Music on LCN 18.

Near the top of this page it shows the channel numbers and frequencies for all the services from Emley Moor transmitter. From that I can see that Com6 is on Channel 48 which is 690 MHz.

Got a strange one here. My Humax Fox-T2 has decided it doesn't like COM7 on Ch.32. All other muxes SD and HD are fine and the Toshiba TV(at the end of a daisy chain from the same antenna as the Humax) registers perfect signal from Emley Moor Ch32 and all programmes. The Humax doesn't even register any signal present on Ch32. I think I've got Humax stumped as well.
Also why can't any historical pages of comment be accessed on this page?
